We did it a few years back. It was no problem. We were pulling a 30’ travel trailer.

We did it last March north to south. 30ft trailer 13ft high. No issues at all. Quite fun. As I recall, you are to have your propane tank valves closed and tanks not "locked" so they can easily be removed if necessary. Same as most tunnels.
Crossed it many times. They will ask at the toll plaza if your propane tanks are off. During storms or high wind events there are levels of restriction based on wind speed and RVs cannot pass, but that is somewhat rare. Enjoy the trip.

We crossed the bridge in June last year. We were pulling our 17' Wolf Pup going south to north. They did ask if our lp tank was turned off. It was a bit windy but pulling that size trailer with an F150 supercrew, took care of any sway.
Back in 1987 we had one of the early Chevy S-10 Blazers. Returning from our vacation to NC we approached the bridge/tunnel from the south on a particularly windy day. They stopped us at the tolls and told us our large "turtle shell" carrier on top would have to be removed before we could continue. Our options were take it off and put it inside the vehicle or they would shuttle it to the north side in a van for us. Since we wanted to stop at the gift shop on the north island, I managed to get it into the back of the Blazer. Came close to having to leave one of the kids at the toll booth though.

Crossed it last Sept towing a 32FT Puma trailer. They stopped us at a small check point about a mile before the toll booths and they wrote down the plate number and checked propane bottles then they asked us again at the toll booth if bottles were off. Nice easy tow across very little wind. It was $24
