Cook Forest State Park in PA

Is anyone familiar with the campground at Cook Forest State Park in PA? We are looking at arriving on June 19, 2016 for 5 nights. What is the difference between the front and back sections. They have a full hook up site available in the back section that we are thinking of reserving. Thanks for any info!

According to map one loop is pets and one is not. I have not been to that particular park but have been to many PA parks. All modern campgrounds have been good. The primitive ones I have been to have been just OK.

I do not know how the campground is but will find out tonight. Staying there for 3 nights for the first real trip with my RV. Will report back next week on how it was.

Do the sites with electricity have water as well?

The sites with electric do not have water. There are spigots throughout the campground that you can fill up your fresh water tank. Most PA parks have been installing full hookups but the number is very few.

If you get a green map just as you enter the campground either on the bulletin board or at the entry ranger station. They will show location of water spigots.

Kalyumet Campground just off Rt. 36 is a yearly destination for us. It's a very nice place only a few miles from Cooksburg. We go for the Cook Forest WineFest in August.
