Cumberland Gap NHP Campgrounds - closing

Just found out that my favorite park will be closed to camping from October 2011 - March 2012 while they completely redo the septic systems there. I know that they really need work, been there since the 60's. But what will I do? OH NO!

Now that I am breathing and my heart is somewhere south of
150 beats/min I'll suggest checking out the Blue Heron campground
at Sterns KY. In the Big South Fork National Recreation area.
There might even be an opening for a host!
We've been there 3 times and love it!!
Maybe you need a change of scenery?

We love the KOA 1 exit to the North. We fish Laurel Lake and the ramp that we use is just 5 minutes away. It is a very nice and peaceful place to stay.
