has anyone ever been here? Welcome to Trent River Campground in Trenton, North Carolina my wife and I are considering it over Easter weekend... it seems out of the way and small and more do it yourself than the KOA we have been to... but the price is right. I just thought I would ask.

I've never been...I found that website in the fall and have been meaning to check into it further but forgot all about until I read your post. I think they still are "primitive" with no hook ups but that may have changed by now!

The Trent river is beautiful thru that area....a great river to paddle!

The lady I talked to on the phone said they had electric and water and 2 sites had sewer and they had a dump station for the others.

My wife and I are going to drive out there tonight after work. It's about 30 min from me. I will let you know what we decide... and if we stay next weekend I'll post pictures and a review of sorts.

In your search of nearby campgrounds if you come across this one..... http://harkersislandrvresort.com....it will be a miracle if they open anytime in 2016. We drove out there two weeks ago to check it out and there is nothing going on. No utilities going in, no roads, no docks, buildings ...nada, zip! Beautiful area and a great idea but I don't see "Opening in June 2016" happening!
