We have spent a week in the keys (always pay extra if needed to stay right on the water) yearly since getting our camper 3 yrs ago ...
2013 was Jolly Roger in Marathon where we discovered there was no fishing in the camping area because that is also the swimming area ... it was beautiful but a lot of foot traffic because the entire CG population uses that part of the CG.

2014 was Venture Out on Cudjoe Key ... privately owned spots in between homes and really nice resources available. They say dog friendly but your pet can only use the middle of the street or outside the gate ... and we had to drive our old dog because the gate was a mile away. Fishing was really good from our site (my current member pic is of that site)

Last year we went to Geiger Key Marina ...small & cramped but nice restaurant, close to Key West for day trips, great bicycling, kayaking & fishing.

Managed to land a spot in one of the SP for next year (finally learning how to land one of those prime spots....dang snowbirds that want to be down here improving our economy when all I want to do is camp!!). Will be checking out the upper keys more next year after 3 years visiting Key West.....
