Goshen In Frog from NJ

We are booked to attend the Frog in Goshen Indiana in Aug. We are looking for campgrounds along route 80 to stop both ways. Something clean, full hookups and close to Rte 80. We have a 2018 23ft Rockwood.

On the Ohio turnpike ( Rt 80) the rest plazas offer rv parking with electric, water fill spot and dump on the way out for $20 a night. Some use the KOA in Streetsboro Oh. Not sure how far you want to go in a day or how many nights you want to stop either way.

From NJ, I'm looking to travel around 250 miles a day. Which would be 2 overnights on the way, each way. We like to take our time and enjoy the views.

Ok good now next question is do you want to take the Pa turnpike across Pa or Rt. 80? Plus 250 miles with a rv will be about 5 hours without stops so just trying to figure exactly for better recommendations.

The Mercer Grove KOA is where we usually stay when taking the NE extension then across I-80. Be aware the 80 in PA is a heavy use truck route and the roads are rough.

We normally take the turnpike and eat the tolls as a cost of getting to Goshen. If you go that way and can make Cleveland, OH on your first leg, the KOA at Streetsboro is our normal midway stop.

This is a terrible road for pulling or driving an RV. You will hate yourself if you commit to using this route.

If you are going to 2 night it, I recommend one of the campgrounds around State College, PA (we have stayed at the Bellefonte/State College KOA right off I-80) and then the Cleveland/Streetsboro KOA.

If you take the Pa Turnpike I would check out either Friendship Village in Bedford Pa or Fox Den Acres at New Stanton Pa.

We stay at the Streetsboro KOA whenever we head west on 80. Very nice park with helpful hosts. Road conditions on 80 when we were there last summer were pretty bad, but construction projects were under way in some areas.
