Grand Strand State Parks, SC

Just returned from nearly two weeks on the Grand Strand of SC.
Stayed at Huntington Beach State Park and Myrtle Beach State Park.
Both are awesome! Both have awesome beaches, nature, programs, landscaping, and decent facilities.

Pros and cons to each and we liked Huntington Beach State Park a tad better. It is roomier, sites are larger, and closer walk to the beach essentially won out. Myrtle Beach State Park on the other hand has lifeguards and a beautiful fishing pier. The fishing pier would be loved by any fisherman, but is noted to attract sharks, so swim a distance of at least 50 yards from it. Shark bites are rare at any rate.
I will post pics later. Unpacking right now. I tell ya, the area and swimming and surf is a total blast!!!!!

Here are some highlights from our trip. If you like history, wildlife, playful surf, beaches, and boardwalks, this is a great place! One of the best vacations I ever took!
