Hershey PA

Wife wants to spend the last week of October in Hershey PA. Has anyone been? What is there to do in the area?

We've found the Hersey Area to be a great "hub" for camping. There's the Hershy Park and Museum, as a main attarction close by, but then youare really within easy travel distance to the Harley Davidson factory (great tour!), Amish country (Lancaster Co.), Gettysburg, Harrisburg (Civil War Museum), and lots of other nice attractions.

We camp in Hershey most weekends, we are about 6 miles from the park. If you go on line to Hershey.com you will see what is going on and things to do, we just came back from there about three hours ago.....

We spent a few days at the Elizabethtown/Hershey KOA in late August. Great campground, even with the KOA price. Centrally located for a whole lot of activities including the whole Hershey experience. Ditto on the previous post on the York HD plant. We rode our Harley there along the banks of the river. Great scenery.

Really recommend a trip to the area. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Hershey

If you have kids Hershey Park in the Dark is a cool thing to do. The park is somewhat pricy though.Hershey Chocolate World is next to the park and is free to get in. If you like cars the Antique Automobile Museum is just north of town on rt.39 and have some nice displays and is worth the price. Adventure Sports south of Hershey on rt. 743 is fun if you like go-karts and miniature golf and that kind of stuff.Downtown there is the Hershey Museum next door is the Hershey Press Building that have 2 good restaurants Houlahans ( good family) and Devon's high end fish and is very good. Indian Echo Caverns just west of town is okay.
