How are the roads?

I'm from Canada and will be driving down to Fla next week. I know there was a lot of snow a few weeks back. I'm wondering what sort of drive I should expect. How are the roads? How is the weather? I'm traveling the I81 to I64, then down I95.

Be very careful traveling down I81 along Lake Ontario from Watertown to Syracuse. They are forecasting another possible storm for sometime next weekend or week. It gets treacherous along there. Right now it's warm and the roads are clear. But as we say if you don't like the weather in Central New York................wait a minute.

Thanks. That's the area I'm most worried about.
How many inches are they calling for?

Well it seems they're looking at a system getting here from the Gulf of Mexico. More rain at first only light snow and moderate temps. It looks pretty good for you really. No big storm.

I95 in South Carolina very rough. Lots of poor patches mostly in the right lane, especially south of I26. Take care.

Lol. Ya I've driven this route many times! I'm well aware of the sink holes down there😂. And trust me, the holes are just as bad here in the frozen north. Especially in the spring. More looking for road conditions via the weather further north.

We just did a round trip Virginia to Florida on I-95 and back. The weather is improving every day but the pot holes aren't. Right lane as you would expect is the worst. I try to keep enough space so I can see them and avoid. We used Rt 301 through central Florida for the first time. Very pleasant drive. Watch your speed.

Pennsylvania is pot hole central! Lots of small deep holes near seems in the roadway. Have a safe trip 😎

I95 thru jax, Fl has constrution. Very bad and dangerous at the I95 & I10 merge. So ofthat is very confusing with lane changing and poor direction flow.

Hey Happy, Coming from New Brunswick we check The Weather Network before travel.
You can customize your Points of Interest in the upper left area of the page. The below link may help getting there ...... Happy travels

I have the weather network app on my phone. I just wanted first hand knowledge of the roads. Something that app can't give me.

Watertown is calling for mixed Rain and snow but not till the 14th temp lows 20 f to high 40's f, roads are rough in spots but no different than in Ontario ( was in Kingston this week). Have a good trip I would say your ok to Pa. line, if it does snow I'm not expecting any accumulation or heavy icing.

What we need is a good snow storm to fill in the potholes

Yep!
That junction has been a mess for at least 40 years! Especially from the North! I will say that the latest round of "improvements" have made it a little better!
