It was! Even in December, the water was chilly but still warmer than what we're used to with the NJ shore in summer.

Doug,
How long did it take to get to your campsite from the mainland?

We stayed at John and Penny Thompson Memorial Park in Miami for 2 nights before so that we would have an easy jaunt down. The bluewaterkey.net instructions tell you to plan for 4 hours but we seemed to have made it in about 3 on a Tuesday.

If you rent thru BluewaterKey.com, you can get access to Tengo for free. It was OK at times until XMas day when I assume everyone was on it. Cell data was fine. I actually use it for all of my work remotely. I had to work full-time most days I was there.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought I read otherwise, but it's good to know that .net has wifi, too!

I feel like I need to take this back- I dislike Tengo with a passion. It's been finicky with our devices. For work, I have used my AT&T hotspot almost exclusively.

I'm curious about the .net/Rita's setup to see if it's a good strong connection.

I wish I could remember the password. It was a good strong signal. Maybe someone else will remember it.

I didn't know they used different ISP...I have always booked with Rita and the code is in the book they leave you..when you stay there..
I have run 2 laptops on VPN,s and streamed my cameras without a hitch..... Strong signal, good bandwith and reasonably quick....I had written the key code down.. But at the moment I can't seem to find it....I'll keep looking ..

No worries. We are slowly packing stuff up for a 9am departure in the morning.

I do love everything else about here. Having and using our own wifi is normal. We went kayaking one last time today. It was a first for my 2 year old son. First he went with my father-in-law and then when I decided to go out afterwards, he rode with me. He's such a fish- sticking his hands and eventually face into the water off of the side of the boat!

No kidding! I tried catching an owl and going Harry Potter style, but they're sly little buggers.
