Lake Guntersville State Park, AL

Traveling from Athens AL to LGSP. We have a 36 ft TT. I am trying to determine the best route. We could go through Huntsville on 431, but part of that route can be a little crazy to drive in a car. I can't imagine dragging the camper that way. I'm not too familiar with Hwy 67 between Priceville and Hwy 69. Would that be a good alt. route? I do know the turn on to 431/79 there in Guntersville is a little tight maybe. Any advice? TIA

This information may be too late if you've already made the trip but..

We travelled 431 from LGSP to Huntsville last month and didn't have any problems that I can think of. We are in a 38' motorhome with a car. A significant part of the trip was the hilly/curvy road into the campground. It wasn't a problem, just a surprise (slow and easy). The view of Lake Guntersville from the Lodge is terrific. Enjoy your time there.
