Lakeside Beach SP - Waterport, NY

Has anyone been to this park in the recent past? I'm considering a trip there late summer and just wondering if anyone had any input?

Hey Blubear, I have been at Lakeside and it is a beautiful NYS campground. I believe there are three loops, and this is the only cg I've ever been to that has a "dog only" loop and the dog with a line through it signs along the roads creating boundaries of where dogs are allowed. If you don't have a dog and don't mind them the dog loop is excellent and the least crowded. Mid section of park has water front or close too sites which are first taken. This is a somewhat quiet park mid way between Buffalo and Rochester NY with the closest town/city being Batavia, about a 30-40 minute ride away. Batavia has a casino, shopping and a handful of pretty good restaurants, maybe the best known being Alex's, across from the casino/race track Batavia Downs. Known for their ribs and BBQ. Lakeside IS a great park to go to and relax and enjoy each other, your rig and camping. Hope this helps, enjoy!

Great information Sherman! Just what I'm looking for and I do have a dog so the dog area sounds perfect! Appreciate the feedback on the cg
