LazyDays

Anyone stayed at the LazyDays "resort" outside Tampa? Thinking of using it to visit the Tampa area for a few days and to also look at some new(used) coaches.

We bought our A Frame from Lazy Daysbut did not stay st the resort. According to their RV resort guide they have:
Complimentary premium coffee
Complimentary newspaper
Complimentary wifi (no password)
Complimentary cable TV - 62 channels

Rates are $40-43 May-Oct, $49-54 Nov-Apr which includes breakfast and lunch Mon.-Sat. at their on site restaurant.

Has a pool and fitness center and a concierge. It's located real close to I-4 and I-75 , so easy access wherever you need to go.

Their Rv lot is truly impressive with tons of RVs for sale.

Hope this helps.

We stayed there for a rally in March. It is ok. Everyone we met in the park were friendly. I don't think there were many trees, and certainly not much shade. Everyone has to parallel park along the road, so it makes it tricky to back in your site. We had to have someone move so we could get in. Not too big a deal. The pool is nice and you can peruse their large lot of RV's, both new and used. I have not been to any other parks in the area, so can't advise any further.

We snowbird farther south in FL but always take a day to visit the FL RV show in Tampa around mid-January. IF~~~ big if~~ you can find a site that would be a good time to go there.

We live near Disney but love the Tampa/Clearwater area. So much to do and so many beautiful beaches.

We tried a couple of nights at Lazy Days this summer and loved it. It's close to Busch Gardens and their water park (cant remember the name) and not too long a drive to the nice Gulf of Mexico beaches.

Negatives are that traffic to the beaches can be terrible, since you'll need to cross through Tampa on your way west. There also is a lot of road construction at the I-4 exit where they are located. As stated above, the sites are a little close and without a lot of shade but very well kept.

The pool was very nice and the grandkids had a blast. They have food service right at the pool to grab a snack/drink and a neat little free trolley to take to the main store/sales area.

Overall we found it to be a great spot to use as an anchor to explore the area. Not as a destination. You will need a toad for touring, or be camping in a trailer or 5er as daily driving of an RV of any size would be a real chore.

We agree, the RV show mentioned above is incredible. We went for the first time this year. Wow! We even scored a brand new ProSine 2000 pure sine wave inverter for $75.00 at the show.
