I used my Health Insurance advocate to get me set up with a Cancer center in Alabama so I could continue treatments while there for 4 months. I would try that first and let them do the foot work and you be the go between. That's what I did.

Dr. Ke Ning
Dr Ke Ning is an amazing doctor. He is young, very smart, very friendly and easy to talk with. He was my best friend’s doctor in Abilene TX and we loved him and were so sad to see him move. I highly recommend him and would take any of my family to see him.

FLCancer.com
Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute are all over Florida including Ocala. I have only been to the one in Clearwater and have been favorably impressed. I Brooksville link someone else suggested appears to be the same group.

Please try University of Florida in Gainesville. You can check out their information on the UF Health website. Just google UF Health pulmonary department and call for an appointment. You will want your records of the care you have received and even see if your oncologist will refer you, since you will be here for a short time.

Moffitt Cancer Center
Moffitt Cancer Center! I know it is a distance as it is in Tampa. My Mom is getting treated there after her 2 diagnosis in 18 months. They are wonderful and on top of the latest research.
I almost took her to Johns Hopkins as i lived in Maryland at the time of her first diagnosis. So glad i moved to Fl and went to Moffitt instead!
ps. My mom is 94!

Thanks for the info on Moffit. Tampa is about a 2-3 drive from Ocala but it’s a bunch closer than 8 hr drive back home.
It certainly will be on our list.
Thanks again.

Who owns your hospital system? And is there a corresponding hospital down there?

It’s owned by the County. So they don’t have affiliates out of State.
