Miami area for a month

Looking for an RV park in or near the Miami area for the month of April. We have a cruise planned and need a reasonably priced & secure place that also would allow the camper to be left unattended for a week while we go on the cruise.

Has anyone done this......and where & how?

We stayed at John and Penny Thompson Memorial Park for 3 days in December. But I don't know their rule on leaving a camper unattended. It was a nice place and I'd be happy to go back.

Heard about/looked/considering that one. Know someone who should be there now but, can't find his number. May have to call them to get more info.....thanks

I would think that because you have paid for your spot for the month, you can come and go for as long as you want, when you want, but to be on the safe side, I would check with the park about leaving for the week, and talk to your neighbors. The park probably would not have a problem with you leaving, but would not be responsible for your motorhome. Ask your neighbors to keep an eye on it while you are gone. Have fun on your cruise. We cruise at the end of January. No. 6

I would discuss with the CG Manager how to meet your needs. Only a week is not that long. You will probably want to leave your AC on and refer too. But I would recommend shutting the water at the pedestal.

Oh yeah......our main reason for wanting to leave it on a site hooked up is to preserve our perishables (since we full time) in the fridge.

If no luck at Penny Thompson, my son is 5 miles north of there on 120st, nice neighborhood and said he would take it in his back yard since I asked him so. 30 amp Electric available. I just spent Christmas there. He works for the County fire dept. Let me know.
