While spending a few days in Milan, OH I took time to visit the Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton, ON. This is an excellent museum featuring a fully operational B-25 Mitchell bomber named "Georgie's Gal" along with other aircrafts, vehicles and artifacts.
Located within the museum is the Tri-Motor Heritage Museum, where they are restoring a vintage Island Airlines Ford Tri-Motor.
We were near there on Catawba Island for five nights during the July fourth holiday this year and saw the Ford Tri Motor fly over our campground all weekend long. It reminded me of my younger years when Island Airlines had two or three of them in operation flying from Port Clinton to the Islands on a regular schedule. I flew in two of them. It was cool.
