New England road trip

So, my spouse and I plan on doing a (late) honeymoon because she’s a teacher, and we want some advice on how we should do a New England road trip. Where should we go? Are there any places that we shouldn’t miss out on, or would we be better off just letting the road lead us? I’d love to hear your suggestions for our trip!

Your New England Trip

A previous NE non RV trip included North Conway NH and the Portland ME area. Lots to see and do. Lobster rolls are a must.

We are planning a trip this year to Cooperstown and all of ME. Bar Harbor, Portland and a trip down to Boston for a Red Sox game. Reservations are filling up near Portland.

Enjoy your honeymoon.

If you're pulling a TT or 5th wheel be aware of the height of very old (and scenic) covered bridges.

This is a grest list. Not sure how much it would be to get your RV to the islands in Nantucket and Martha's vineyard but you should go there with or without it even if just for then day.

Actually you could take your RV to Marthas Vineyard on a ferry and Marthas Vineyard Family CG has full hookups

Here is what I would do. Drive from Georgia to Castaways RV Resort in Maryland, stay for the night. Then drive to Foxboro, ma and stay at Normandy farms for one or two nights. If you want to go to cape cod, check out Atlantic oaks then from there (either the cape or Foxboro), go straight to Maine. Stay at BAYLEYS near old orchard beach. Then head up to Bar Harbor. On the way home, stay at beach rose campground near Salisbury, ma and then your last stop should be Mohegan sun Casino so you can win enough money to pay for your trip. Have fun!

Good advice.
Also, consider getting an E-ZPass for tolls. No stopping required for toll collection in most cases.

E-ZPass Group - Home

Hope this helps.

Our friends Wildcat 5th wheel is in the body shop now because of last years New England trip. Roads so bad, it cracked both the side walls near the slides. About $10,000 in damage and the won't be camping till probably August.

No doubt about it there are roads that'll rattle your teeth especially after the March storms just take it easy and you'll be alright one eye on the road and the other on the sights O and be sure to stop at a Friendly's ice cream shop for
