New Hampshire Campgrounds

Planning a New England Trip and one of our stops will be in North Conway to visit the Conway Scenic RR, Mt. Washington and the Cog Railway.

Trying to decide on the Glen Ellis Campground and the Saco River Campground. Any feedback on your experiences would be welcome.

Saco River Family Camping North Conway, NHSaco River Camping Area

Just FYI... "roughing it" is not in our vocabulary. We like W/S/E and amenities. Wife and Daughter use the trailer shower which means I'm relegated to the bathhouse. I'm not too picky... 3-4 stars on the bathhouse is ok with me.

Thanks for your feedback.

It appears Glen Ellis made my decision for me... No Dogs until after Labor Day

Saco River it is. They welcome pets and have 2 dog parks.

Saco River Campground. We stay there every September for a week. They have just added approx 50 new sites . Good location for all the activities in the area

We stayed at Glen Ellis last September. Very large CG between the two rivers. We didn't have exactly the best site, stuck between to seasonal sites, one empty, the other wasn't around but really enjoyed our stay. Great rec room and large infield area, clean and neat bathhouses. Friendly staff and just 4-5 miles from the town center. Funny, when we planned our trip it was between GE and Sacco too!
