She did mention that it might change based on feedback. However no bumper pull of 5th wheels with slides. Only Classes A, B, And C or trailers without slides (She mentioned Airstreams).
Seems crazy to me that you'd allow an A,B, or C with slides and not a TT.

They will be out of business soon

From what we hear in SC it's not the property owners it's the management co. We know one of the owners and they supposedly are fighting it.
But they are cancelling reservations

I considered buying a lot in that park. I read the restrictions in the property owners association (POA) regulations and it said that no units wider than 8.5 feet were allowed. Or something to that effect. I guess they are finally enforcing their own rules and regulations. They do allow slide outs in motor homes though.

It would be interesting to see the ratio of owned sites compared to rent-able sites. If the business side starts to lose a lot of money and they have to start to pay more on the maintenance fees and dues. See what happens.

So we check the web page and......!
No slideouts on travel trailers or 5th wheel allowed. Beginning September 1. ??? What???
Called and spoke to a lady that has no idea why. Except for a POA restriction. Have no idea what that refers to. Not an HOA?
I can't imagine business not going down hill.
Any body ever here of a CG doing this??

We have something in common! I also affectionately refer to DW as the "War Department". Sometimes get funny looks and then a smile.

The homeowners association has control over the management company.. if they're not following what the owners want, they can fire them.
According to the office, it's the owners that made this change. Call them if you want.. nice people.
I enjoyed our stay there a year ago. Nice park.. not extremely family-friendly but not bad either. Right off the water and near many attractions.

The tip out ban at Hilton Harbor is correct. I had reservations for Nov 15th for 5 nights. They called me and had to cancel my reservation. I had tip outs and my trailer was longer than 35’ It was a new regulation instituted by their board. It might be Covid related and the need to guarantee separation

Well, that's not extremely high! And prices are going UP. Get used to it or sell your rig now before the demand drops and the market floods.

I see no reason to get used to it. In our state and many others we have COE parks, state Parks and National Parks by the hundreds to use. Most of those are better kept than Private RV parks and with the Old Bastard age pass, cost is anywhere from 12 dollars to 24 dollars a day. I have no problem if others want to pay the high prices. And sell my rig??? Get real.
