November campgrounds

We are looking to go to Tenn. in early November with our 5 Grandchildren, any suggestions for Tenn. with some activities nearby?

I recommend going to this place.... They have a campground, museum and open air theater. I haven't been many places, but we enjoyed it. Make sure you see the museum.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. You can find many campgrounds with descriptions and reviews of that area by going to compendium.com

From Indiana it looks like you will probably be first in Nashville. my kids always liked walking around the opryland hotel when they are decorated for Christmas. https://www.marriott.com/hotels/hote...ention-center/ there are several campgrounds near by with good reviews, but i have no experience with them. going east towards Knoxville i can recommend several good campgrounds but not a lot of fun stuff to do in the winter. then there is the smokies and the endless shops, restaurants and shows. they too have lots of campgrounds.

Edgar Evins State Park is on my list for a stop in Tennessee. Have not stayed there yet but saw where some of the camp sites are on a deck out over the water. Just East of Nashville it could serve as a base camp for day trips into Nashville for the zoo, aquarium, science center, etc.

Edgar Evins State Park is probably the weirdest park you will ever stay at. its been a while since i have been there but if its the same, you will be greeted with speed bumps ever 100 feet. next, the decks are not level with the road so you have to back up a steep ramp to find your hookups are on the wrong side and your fire pit on the side of the road.. it was impossible for us to get to the water from the site, but the fishing was good when we did. we found Long branch, a corps of engineers park a few miles away that sits right below the dam with huge sites and clean facilities that we prefer when in that area. if you are pulling a trailer to Edgar Evins State Park take extra water line and extension cord. if in a motor home then pull straight in.
