Anyone have input on this route through ( or around ) Boston . We are heading south from OOB tomorrow. Planning on making it an A to B trip.[emoji275]

I make the trip from NH to the cape quite often. Either in the MH or towing a boat. Going around Boston on Rt 95 and catching Rt 1 can be like flipping a coin.

Going through Boston you have to go in a tunnel if on RT 93. No Propane.

We usually just take the longer and go RT 495. That will bring you to both bridges at the cape and you can catch it from Rt 95 south in Amesbury right after the NH border.

Hope that helps

Never thru Boston. 495 would be my choice, it'll be clogged at some points during rush hour. Listen to 1030AM for traffic reorts

Thank you both for your reply. We opted 95 and then 3 to the Cape. Went like clockwork 95 was slowed down a little in a couple of spots but nothing serious.

That is nice because Rt 3 goes right to the Sagamore Bridge and turns into Rt 6.
Have fun. Beware if you go into the ocean......

You're headed for our home state...Maine! We spent our honeymoon in Old Orchard Beach...beautiful area! (That was in 1981!) We got home last year, planning on getting back next July or August.

When traffic is bad in Boston, you have to call it what the locals do..

"How was the traffic?"

"Wicked bad"

"Bad, eh?"

"Yah, wicked pissah bad!!" :-)
