Poor Dump Station - Loves at Cumberland, MD - I-68 and Rte. 220

I do not recommend this dump station. It is poorly located with insufficient distance to pull in close enough, especially if your dump valves are on the driver's side. It is recessed between a large propane storage tank and auto parking stalls. Even with just a 23' TT, we had to wait a long time for people to leave from the two parking stalls immediately next to the dump location. The only air pump is right next to the dump, so anyone needing tire air would have to wait for you to leave, which could cause a lot of stinkeye (pun mostly not intended).
Furthermore, this station in MD is spitting distance from PA where gasoline taxes add at least 25 cents (often more) per gallon, so the station is a total zoo of vehicles waiting in lines for a gas pump. The dump station area is along the top edge of the gas pump area, rather than in the expansive back truckers area where it would be a perfect and easy location for a dump station.

Sounds crowded. Most TT have their dump valves on the drivers side couldn't you just turn your rig around so that the valves would be closer to the station? just wondering

Yep, that one is poor planning.
"IF" no one is in the parking spots, then you have a better chance of getting closer (you can pull up and back in) but if anyone is in that 1st parking spot (and there usually is) then there's just no room for anything much bigger than a camper van.

To pull in with the "driver's" side of your TT facing the dump stn, the TV will take up at least the first perpendicular parking stall. That is what we did, but had to wait for customers to leave those parking places. I have never tried running the stinky slinky under the trailer to a dump stn port on the opposite side from the direction the camper is parked. I would really prefer to not try it. However, if it were possible, that direction of entry into the dump stn area would be slightly easier, even with backing-in to it.

The way I read your post it seemed to me you pulled in passenger side the reason for my question. I don't know that dump station

well played....
With your red arrows and notes, we may be twins separated at birth.
The image actually sort of makes the area look larger than it is. That must be a pretty small car in the stall after the lined-off area. Take my word, it's a tight squeeze with a TT and TV in real life.

Wowsers! That IS a tight spot! Perhaps that's why the propane tank is so well-protected!

Plus, this small truck stop has a very small parking lot and is a challenge to get through when itís so busy. We tend to stop at the Sheetz up the road but thereís of course no dump there. Great to get gas and snacks.

And if you have a Sheetz loyalty card you save a few cents on gas.
