Private Campgrounds - western North Carolina

Does anyone have any recommendations for campgrounds in western North Carolina? We like the state parks and COE campgrounds, but Gorges SP doesn't have a campground, Lake James SP is very nice too, but the campground is for tents only. We really like the area around Waynesville, Franklin, outside Ashville, so that leaves private campgrounds. It's been our experience in the past that private campgrounds have sites very close together, and especially in Covid 19 times, spacious sites are preferred.
If you have any good experiences at private campgrounds, please share! Thank you very much!

I'm sure this is a late reply but Great Outdoors RV Resort in Franklin, NC is fantastic and Mama Gertie's in Swannanoa NC is a fan favorite.

I see this is an old thread, but . . .

A mile off the Interstate near Waynesville and Maggie Valley is Creekwood Farm RV Park. The site spacing is reasonable for a private campground, but not near as spacious as a state or CoE park. Some sites are along a creek. Bathrooms are nice as they are private bathrooms like you would have in your home. We have stayed there maybe 5 times, mainly because it is easy to access. There is another larger RV park right next “door” but it didn’t seem quite as nice.

Tuckasegee Campground is really nice. Close to Waynesville, Cherokee and Magie Valley. It is easy to access
