Smile RE: Florida - Trying to find a Location ???

Need some help possibly locating a Town or Campground in Florida.
OK! Myself, not being from or living in Florida doesn't help.

My wife and I traveled one year minus the camper to an unknown part of Florida. We stayed at a hotel/motel which was on a beach and next door was a good size RV park. A small restaurant was on location between both and walking distance between hotel and RV park.

I know this is not much information to go on, but we would love to travel there with our RV and stay at the described location. Really was nice setup.

I have searched Florida campgrounds and Towns online, viewing there accommodations and surroundings and have had no luck. Just hoping someone out there can help point me in the right direction.

Any ideas or suggestions in Florida as to the town or campground would help. Yes, I am reaching by asking for the campground, but wish to see if anyone knows of such a place. Thank-you in advance for any leads.

Any help would be better than me tearing my hair out. Bad enough it is thinning, don't need to lose any more. LOL!!!

Can you narrow things down.....Atlantic or Gulf side?
North of Daytona?
North of Miami?
North of Tampa/St. Pete’s
North or South of Fort Myers?

It's funny you should ask.
Unfortunately, I can not seem to narrow it down.
I can not recall where it was other than in Florida on the water.
Unknown if east or west coast.

I know it was definitely North of Miami and South of Daytona.
It was warm but can't remember if humid or not. Humid indicating gulf area.

I know I had visited both Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers, so maybe one of those areas. I am unsure because I could not find any information.
It was at least 10 years ago, so the place may not exist anymore.
Unknown where else in Florida I visited besides Disney, Orlando.

Sorry for being so vague. All guesses on my part.

Sounds like it could be Jetty Park in Cape Canaveral.

Did the sun rise or set over the water? That’s will tell which coast it was, if you can remember.

Well if nothing else you made my day. Good laugh out of that one.

Wish I could do it as a contest and award prizes. Certainly would get lots of guesses, but unfortunately I am not in the position to give things away.

Thanks for your answer. I will certainly check them out.

Sorry to say, ten years ago. Long Time ago.
I have a hard enough time remembering yesterday.
I know it rises in the east and sets in the west - but couldn't tell you where it was back then.

Alright, thank you, I will check that one out along with UGACamper at
El Governor in Mexico Beach?
Coral Sands in Ormond Beach?

Now I have some homework and searching to do.

I looked at Mexico Beach up near Tallahassee in panhandle
I would say that is too far north even though on gulf coast.

Coral Sands in Ormond Beach?
I looked at Coral Sands Beach but it was north of Daytona Beach.

Neither one of those were what I was looking for but I certainly do appreciate your help and time to respond.

Thank-you

Did it have white sandy beaches like near Daytona?
Mango trees which are common on the Gulf side?

Even if you do find it, it's probably changed so much that you won't recognize it.

Best to do a Google search for 'rv parks with restaurants and beach access'... OR it might be a hotel with and RV park attached and you could search for that.

We use Google maps and the satellite view to see how campgrounds are laid out and if they truly on the beach.
Good luck. I think you're looking for a needle in a haystack and the haystack may not be there anymore.

I quickly looked at this resort at Cape Canaveral Florida. It seems to fit the criteria after quickly viewing their site.
I will need to do some more research to know better.
Only thing I am questioning, is the cruise ship lane. I do not recall that.

Thank you for your time and effort in giving me some ideas along with guidance. I very much appreciate your effort and I do realize time is valuable.

Good luck. I think you're looking for a needle in a haystack and the haystack may not be there anymore.

If I can remember correctly, it did have kind of whitish sand, not pure white like Pensacola sand but definitely not brown, like here in Boston.
There probably were trees for shade but I couldn't tell you whether they were Palm Trees or other.

I will try my search again using the criteria you have spelled out for me. I know I tried Hotel with Rv Park located on a beach and etc before but maybe, just maybe trying it again will pay off.

I agree with needle in a haystack and after 10 years it may not be there anymore.

Reverse_snowbird, I appreciate your input and effort to assist me in my search. I thank you for taking the time to respond. It is reassuring to know that some people really want to pitch in and help others.

Again, Thank-you - Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, & Enjoy Camping

Red Coconut Fort Myers Beach

Could be this one:

https://www.redcoconut.com/

This could be the campground you are remembering. It's a quaint campground that is pretty hard to get into but not sure since COVID...You may also want to try this one where we are at in Bonita Springs called Sanctuary. Beautiful campground as far as campgrounds go this time of the year is very affordable.

Good Luck on finding your perfect place to land

I also remember staying at a campground near Daytona Beach that was right on the beach and also had a hotel next to it that owned the RV park.
It was very nice but small but you could get a site right on the beach overlooking the ocean. Hotel was lovely and the folks there are very nice. As I can remember they take Good Sam too for extra savings. The name is Coral Sands

Location?

How about Red Coconut RV Park in Ft Myers Beach? on Estero Blvd.
We have also seen some nice beachy ones near Destin, Appalachicola if still running.

Also near Flagler Beach on the Atlantic.

You might have a chance to get in places considering the Canadian snowbirds are staying home.
