RV660 start up menu

Having gone from the 2595 to an RV 660, it drives me totally crazy that I have to press the kind of vehicle I'm in before I can access the GPS. Has anyone been able to figure out a workaround so that when you turn on the GPS you can go directly to inputting addresses or something without having to first go to the screen that has the four different types of vehicles?

Did you go into the settings and configure the 660 to the type of vehicle you have?

I use it as a car and with a trailer but I'd like for it to remember the last choice so don't have to go through the windows each time. After a few seconds on the 2595 you could talk to it. With the 660 if I don't choose what I'm driving, can't talk to it.

On my 660 it always starts up to how I was using it last. I am currently using mine as a car instead of towing a trailer. Have you hooked up your 660 to the computer and checked for updates?

It's up to date and running 3.9 version of the software but I get the screen with the 4 vehicles after the disclaimer screen. Did you make a profile for one of the other vehicles?

I get the disclaimer then it goes to where to or map, if I want to change from car to towing I have to go into settings.

RESOLVED! Unless you create a profile for one of the other three vehicles, the selection screen will be shown. Once you've configured one, it skips it as most of you have seen. All's Okay!
