Smokey mtn area

Planning on taking our new 27BHWS up to Tn in June. I need some recomendations for campground. Don’t want anything in the middle of Gatlinburg. Prefer somewhat away from the carnival atmosphere. Would prefer water, elec, dump station. Thanks in advance.

Happy Holiday Campground,

Cherokee, North Carolina

we've been to two Casita rallies there and love the cg,

absolutely beautiful area,

a mountain stream splits and then comes back together,

the cg ground is built in the area between the two flowing streams,

We are at Up the Creek right now. Large sites and away from all the bustle.

Up the Creek.

Close enough to everything but far enough away.

Anchor Down. You are high up overlooking Douglas lake. Sites are the same caliper as Fort wilderness (Disney) clean extremely well taken care of, very accommodating staff.

We have stayed many times in Pigeon Forge, it kinda comes down to what you want to pay. We have stayed at Riverside, River Plantation, Pine Mountain, Riveredge, Camp River Lander(Twin Mountain) and a few more I have forgot about. I hear Anchor Down is nice but expensive. Nowadays we usually stay at Riverside, the sites at the rear of campground are wide apart. We like to stay in campgrounds without trees, we have a Trav’ler on top of camper. Townsend or Wears Valley

Try the quiet side of the smokies.

Little Arrow Outdoor Resort in Townsend Tn.
Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park -Wears Valley Road Sevierville, Tn

If your willing to Dry Camp it would be worth the time spent to stay at the
Cades Cove Campground for a couple of nights. No power, Dump Station,
Bathrooms no showers. Large sites, You can run a generator in certain areas and times. Great camp store, access to the loop road on certain days and times without cars for hiking and biking. You can get water here if needed. Carry your drinking water and a full tank and you would be fine for a few days.

I suppose you realize... this thread was started in March and the OP was asking for suggestions for their trip in June.

Not much help to the OP but maybe some information for others?
