We stayed at Compass rv just as it was changing to Compass rv. It was nice then and very convenient to down town via public transport. Hardly used the car. Really nice dog walk area when we were there. It has a 4.5 rating. Hope this helps, it been a couple of years since we were there.

Here’s a look at a number of choices.

Others may comment if they’ve stayed at any of them.

St. John's RV Park

Home - St. John's RV Park

we've stayed there twice traveling thru Florida, ... they honor Passport America(50% discount), ... is next door to a huge flea market on Sat. and Sun.(I think both flea market and campground are owned by the same people, DW loves a good flea market) ... we'll certainly stop there again if ever in that area, ...

What I liked also, the sites were long enough to keep my car trailer hooked up to the RV! Site was over 60ft.

Just an FYI, Compass got bought out in August by Sun RV Resorts who has purchased many campgrounds in the US. My only dealing with them was in Sept. trying to get prices and availability for a rally and the event coordinator who I spoke with never called me back. That has nothing to do with the park which I understand is/was very nice. I would check any current reviews.

I do know the previous owners put a ton of money into the park including a pool and a new section in the rear.

Anastasia State Park is really nice. We stayed for four days earlier this year and the campground is very clean and well maintained.

We’ve stayed at Stagecoach RV Resort, which is just a bit down the road from the outlet malls and at an I-95 exchange. The sites are grass, but it’s fine for a trip to the area. Nothing fancy, but decent enough.

We stayed there for a couple of nights a couple of years ago:

We stayed there also. No complaints.

I have stayed at North Beach Camp Resort. Very nice. River access to the back and Ocean out front. Sandy sites. Quick drive to the heart of St. Augustine.

We've stayed at Stagecoach a few times, and held a FROG rally there a few years ago. Nothing elaborate, but clean, well maintained, and run by a very nice family.

We'll be checking out a new park called Four Lakes in a couple of weeks. It's in Hastings, FL, about ten miles south of Saint Augustine.

For shopping, there's an outlet mall just about a half mile from Stagecoach.
