we've stayed at St. John's Rv Park twice and would again, it's right off 95 and has a very large weekend Flea Market, I think owned by the RV Park, ... they also honor Passport America, ... we liked it

Stagecoach is nice. Stayed there twice. Mile or 2 from CW. Restaurants and fuel close by.

Same thing as you, we could not get into Anastasia so we stayed at Stagecoach.

We just left Stagecoach Saturday morning and found it to be fine, the folks are very friendly and it's very convenient to a lot of things in and around St. Augustine.

It clean, easy to get in and out of, it's not a fancy place but we'd certainly stay there again.

As an aside, we did ride thru Anastasia to look at the camp sites and a good number were empty so you might try calling the park directly to check on cancellations.

We spent a week in February at the KOA, very nice, great staff, and the St Augustine Beach Trolley stops right in the campground.

St Augustine RV recommendation

We just spent three days at Compass RV Park on State Rd 207 and found it to be a very nice park and convenient to the old town sightseeing area. The campground has tickets to a hop-on-hop off trolley for $25/person for 3 days! Their shuttle will pick you up at the RV Park entrance and take you downtown. I highly recommend this. If you get a chance eat at Harrys seafood downtown. It is very good and not as crowded as the Columbia restaurant. We also enjoyed trolley stops at the distillery, the winery and the Whetstone chocolate factory.

We go to St Augustine every April for 10-12 days. We go for the beach and ocean, and get some time in the old town. By far the best place to camp if the beach is your priority is Bryn Mawr. Not high end by any means, but has the pools and direct beach access.
