we just finished 2 weeks of minus 30 with wind chill and this week we are going to +10 with rain after 16 inches of snow.
Arizona or Mexico for retirement.

Never say never, but I can't see myself towing my camper with salt on the roads. And if I were to order a new one, I wouldn't order until about mid-April so that it wouldn't be delivered until the salt is all washed off the roads.

In my neck of the woods, its very rare to see campers on the road this time of year. The ones we do see are either snowbirds heading south, new units being delivered to a dealer or an RV show, or the real diehards heading out for some winter camping. There are very few campgrounds open all winter so there's not much place to go.

When the campers get winterized, the snowmobiles are readied for the new season. Different seasons call for different toys.

I live in Ontario, Canada.
Winter salt, calcium, sand and pea-stone are a winter way of life and their use and application are a real science, as I learned as municipal purchasing agent, responsible for buying or leasing the fleet and chemicals required for snow fighting operations.
We make a practice of undercoating our vehicles to prevent them dissolving in a couple of years.
My favoured method is an annual non-drip oil spray, inside the door panels, nooks and cranny's and the underside of each vehicle. Cost is about $100.00 each but well worth the expense.
For our winter trips south from here, I always have my motor home treated with the oil spray in the fall and use a pressure washer to do the exterior cleaning for salt in the spring.

Q? So I live in Minot ND 40 minutes out of Canada (travel in winter but to cold locations) My 2017 Nissan Titan came with undercoating which looks and feels like a Rhino Liner in a track bed.

My TT has a similar coating on the rails but I assume (here I go making an ass of myself) like other trailers it has a 1/4 inch heavy duty like tarp that is very tightly sealed concealing insulation I pipes etc.

Should I be doing more for protestants?

Mine is an Ice hous mad to go on the lakes. I bought it because I liked the insulation value in cold. I hunt in the winter but not ice fish.

Base on your experience and as a Minnesota born and bread I never have hear of an oil type so have (In my older year where I can afford it) purchased what I think of as permanent undercoating.

Should I do more?

It's hard to say TonyShope.
IF there is no way water/salt can get through the "liner" there should be no problem. But, if there is a crack, scrape or chip in the coating, salty liquid can rust the metal at the site, then get under the liner and do it's dirty deed - underneath the coating, invisible to inspection.
That happened to a friend's truck with a similar sounding undercoating, after he scraped some of it, on a rock, in a field.

If you run across the spray product name or a retailer providing such would you please either post the product name or PM me. Just me a fellow northern boy.
