Transit from Maine to NY

We are traveling from Bar Harbor to Saratoga Springs area and my wife, the quilter, wants to stop in Center Harbor (Keepsake Quilts is there) on the way. This will takes us off I-95 to state Rt. 25 to Center Harbor then off 25 to federal Rt. 4 for the leg into N.Y.
I don't mind back roads as long as they are adequate for trailers 8' wide and 11' tall. My main concern is for gas stations that will fit my 30' trailer.
Any local knowledge out there on this route to transit from Maine to N.Y.?

I went to Wells from Queensbury NY via rt 4 a few summers ago. Other than a few steep grade there was no issues at all. Regular fill ups were all very easy. It was a lot less mountains coming back through Albany though.

I live in central NH, about 20 minutes out of Center Harbor. You can follow 25 to the center of Meredith then take 104 west to where it ends at RT 4 in Danbury. Follow 4 west and it takes you to Interstate 89 at Lebanon. If you want to stay on 4 as soon as you cross into Vermont you can get off 89 and follow 4.
RT 104 and 4 in New Hampshire have logging trucks running up and down them that are much larger than your rig so there's plenty of room. There's no major hills to deal with - as opposed to RT 25/RT118/RT4 route. Just before you pass under I-93 in New Hampton on RT104 there are a couple large gas stations that are easy in and out - Irving is on the W/B side. 104 to 4 is a nice ride. You will go through a short stretch of downtown Bristol on 104 but as stated earlier, there's some monster logging trucks going through there too so there's plenty of room.

You da man, Skip. I plotted that route out and it looks great. My next stop is in Gansevoort just north of Saratoga so I'll follow US 4 all the way there.
May I ask one more question? How's the best way to get to Center Harbor from Bar Harbor?

Much appreciated,
Wright

No problem on the route. There's a nice Mobil station in PLYMOUTH on 25 which has easy access and wide turning radius AND a Dunkin Donuts!
Lots of opportunities to fill up on Rt. 4 and then the Northway (87)

We have traveled ny, ma, Maine with out 29 footer but stayed on the interstate. A suggested stop is the Rockwell museum in Lee Massachusetts. Well worth the stop.

Wright, we used to have a house in Denmark Maine so I've driven all over that area. If you're on I95 in Maine jump off in Gray and follow 202 to 25 in Standish. From there stay on RT 25 until you start feeling a burning pain in the area of your wallet. That will be your credit card melting as you approach Keepsake Quilting...I know mine usually melts when I take my wife there! Here's a suggested route - RT 25 in Maine and New Hampshire is a nice road. Plenty of gas stations along the way. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/43.8...b1!4m2!4m1!3e0
