Up-to-date Myrtle Beach Route

We will be heading down to Myrtle Beach State Park with our toy hauler this weekend from NE Ohio. We visit almost annually, but always stay in condo's on the Northern end.

All the map programs are routing me down 501 thru Conway, but years ago I used to run into quite a bit of traffic there. Now we typically come into Myrtle from the North, and I am thinking about doing the same even though the park is on the southern end. I would come all the way down 31.

Any up-to-date info on which route would be best? Thanks in advance!

Why not stay on the Interstates and take I77 right on down to Columbia, then US 378 across, or cut down from 378 to 521 at Sumter?

31 down to 22 will bring you out at the Walmart Mart in North Myrtle Beach. Straight across Kings Hwy will take you to Myrtle Beach Travel Park and Apache Campgrounds. 31 will also take you down to 501 on the South side of MB.
