Off to Quantico Marine Base

We have reservations on the lake there.

Plan on the Marine musuem and several Civil War battlefields.
Fredericksburg is mandatory!

is a live web cam at Gulf Shores. The beaches are pretty much deserted except for cleanup workers, but I understand the smell is not too bad. If you are sensitive to smells, you might want to reconsider.

Will be our first trip of the year. Campground on lake not too far from home with fireworks on the 4th. We will leave the 1st and come back the 5th. At least that is the plan as of now.

We will be spending July 2-5 with some friends from work (somewhere between 20 and 30 of us altogether, all ex-Hynix workers) down on the Umpqua River outside of Elkton, Oregon. It will be our first dry camping experience with our new (to us) Sierra travel trailer. We will be picking up a new deep cycle battery right before we go.

We are spending our second consecutive Independence Day weekend at East Harbor State Park on Lake Erie. Plan to have our 2 daughters and 3 grandkids with us. Also, have some friends in the area and we hope to get together with them at some point.

We are heading up to spend 4 days on the Kern River north of Kernville, CA. The dogs love the river and would swim all day if you let them. We enjoy it too.
