White mountains campground suggestions
Hi Everyone,
Will be out first year towing a travel trailer. Have a couple initial trips set up with some friends that have some experience but the Qi fee and I are also looking to do a trip up to NH to the white mountains. Thinking maybe the Conway/North Conway/ Lincoln area but honestly open to suggestions. Not looking to boondock just yet so want a campground with hookups (at least water and electricity). As stated fairly new to this so grounds with spacious pull through spots would be an added bonus. Not looking for a ton of on campsite amenities, just looking to do some relaxing and probably some lighter hiking and site seeing. Any suggestions would be great!

We booked a site at Twin mountain campground, never stayed there before but had large pull thru for larger rigs with full hook up.

We have stayed at the Twin Mountain KOA a couple of times. Good location and the campground is decent.

We stayed Fransted Family Campground near Franconia Notch. Clean, friendly, quiet, woodsy, no pool but has stream for wading.

We stayed at Lantern Resort in Jefferson, nh. Great campground with good amenities. Also walking distance to Santa's Village which is a great family run theme park around a Christmas theme. We stayed at the top of the campground, site 68,which gave great views with full hookups but we could hear road noise as there is a local road behind it.

An Old Favorite
Hi, the very first campground we ever stayed at in NH was Lost River Valley Campground in North Woodstock, NH. We've stayed there a bunch of times since. It is somewhat small and quiet and close to attractions such as Clark's Trading Post, Lost River Gorge and many other places for hiking, fun, etc. Plus, the Woodstock Inn is close and is a great place to eat and relax. Have fun wherever you choose.

We like Goose Hollow. If you read the reviews there are some negative ones, but we've never had a problem, and one reviewer noted that the people who complained were usually party people who got kicked out.

Lost River campground in North Woodstock is our favorite. A super nice couple just bought it a couple of years ago. As said earlier, close to a lot of things including the Kancamagus, Highway. Beautiful ride through the National Forest.

We stayed at Mountain Lake in Lancaster NH very close to Mt Washington. They do have pull through sites which are easy to get into. The sites in the back are more difficult as the roads are tight.
Highly recommend the Cog Train to see Mount Washington. A great ride. The Flume Gorge is fun to see as well. We also took a drive to Gorham to do a moose tour at night. Awesome and probably the highlight of our trip.

We have done the Moose tour in Gorham and Lincoln. Our pick is Lincoln for that. If you go to Mount Washington and use your vehicle to go up it, make sure your breaks are good and use the pull offs on the way down. A lot of breaks have been burnt up going down that Mountain. There is one of those discount stores in North Woodstock. Not only have the got the regular tourist stuff but also a display of beautiful Antique cars inside. No cost to browse around.

We stayed at Timberland Campground just east of Gorham. Very nice campground, full hookups, easy pull thru's and back-ins. We will go back.

Add our vote for Timberland. Nice office, store and pool. Great staff.

So many places to see in the area. Check out a possible visit to Alton Bay and Wolfboro New Hampshire. Beautiful! You might want to extend your stay a bit. Stay safe, Al
