Have the dealer set up the hitch, while showing both of you how it's done, and how to unhook it. Make sure you do a proper PDI before accepting (signing for) the unit.

Too late. They’ve already towed home today. See last few posts.

Hi,
I suggest making a check list of things to check before you put the truck in drive.
Safety-
Trailer Tires- proper pressure (should
Be a sticker on the camper)
Check tires for damage, lug nuts tight and no visible grease or problems with the wheels.
Truck tires check same thing. Door sticker should tell you proper pressure.

Hitch- Check for loose bolts, all fasteners are in place, adjusted correctly and safety chains are hooked.

Brakes- Get in truck and move forward a little then apply brakes by hand. The trailer should stop.
Brake away switch works?

Fluids check-engine, trans, radiator, brake fluid and next service is?.

Walk around- Doors locked, windows closed, nothing loose and so on.
So on and so on. Make sure you have a plan to change a flat tire.
Adjust all your mirrors so you just see a little bit of the trailer and learn your blind spots.
As said above drive at a comfortable speed. Make sure you are show. How to set up your weight distribution hitch correctly. I’m hoping they know how to do it. Good luck and have fun. It seems like a lot but really it’s not bad.

Use your mirrors to keep an eye on your trailer tires relative to the lane markings. It will take a little while before you have a natural sense of how close you are to vehicles in adjoining lanes.

I highly recommend an observation camera. FR puts a Furrion camera mount on the back that's prewired for power. Your dealer will be happy to sell you a Furrion camera at a pretty high markup but that also means it will be installed before you leave the lot.

They're also available on Amazon and easy to install (a couple of screws) if you have a ladder to reach it. If you get one, compare the Amazon price to your dealer price before you decide.

Measure the height of the front fender opening before you leave home. That will rise when you connect the trailer because the rear of the truck will squat. When the springs are engaged on the weight distributing hitch, the rear will lift up some and the front fender will come back down.

Your truck's towing guide will tell you how much it should return to normal when correctly hitched. If it doesn't return to the towing guide height, have the dealer adjust the hitch to meet the specs.

Well you have received plenty of advice, most of it good. Just pick a time with minimum traffic, go slow, enjoy the new experience.
