I have 2013 ram 2500 normal box, have the B&W turn over Ball set up and the anderson hitch, works awesome, easy to pull out so you have your full truck bed. I dont need help putting it in or taking out. I would highly recommend

Thank you for the info. I was really liking the idea of this hitch so I could still use my bed when needed. I will have to have the ball added to my bed, since it is an older truck and didn't come with one. Also sorry for typing there thoughts instead of their, was tired last night.

I use the Andersen Ultimate on my 2015 GMC 2500 which has a 6.6ft bed. I added a Curt Extenda Ball to move my Andersen 4" toward the tailgate. Basically, the Extenda Ball replaces the flip-over ball that comes with the truck's goose hitch.

I don't know what size your F250 bed is since it could be anywhere from 5.5ft to 6.7 feet so suggest you measure. If you want to see what I did, I posted a very amateur video I did a couple of years ago that might answer some of your questions.

Here's my video I did to explain it.

I use the Andersen with the rail mount...love it! 2015 F250 short bed, no problems pulling my 34 footer. Love taking it out all by myself when I need the bed.

I have a 2016 F250 SB CC pulling a Shasta 30' fifthwheel on an Andersen Ultimate hitch.

The cab clearance in a 90 degree turn depends mostly on the design of the front cap, but I probably have about 18 inches. My hitch is mounted on a turnover ball and it is easy to remove the hitch and have a flat floor in just a few minutes. What I like most of all is the fiver does not chuck or buck - I don't even know its back there.

My hitch is mounted over a slide-in bed liner and I suspect that this crushes just a little (it doesn't leave a mark when I remove the hitch) and I have to regularly re-torque the hitch. I bought a HF torque wrench that I leave in the truck just for use on the hitch.

I find the Andersen hitch to be a delight compared to the typical 300 pound hunk of greasy iron that is most hitches.
