2013 dodge Ram 2500 big horn

Going to look at a 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 big horn with a 5.7 motor. Will it pull a 35.5 TT Rockwood ok? Thinking loaded the camper weighs about 9,000 Lbs.

It should but if you are towing anywhere even remotely hilly I'd watch the engine oil temp. I added an auxiliary oil cooler to mine as the temps would climb to nearly 250F on grades.

As someone who recnetly traded a 2016 ram 2500 with the 6.4 hemi, I would hold out for at least the 6.4, and preferably the 4:10 rear end.

I was towing 9K/ 10K with my 6.4 and felt it underperformed in even moderate hilly terrain.. I cant imagine it with the 5.7. I had 3:73 gears and the tranny had pretty poor programing as well as porr internal gearing. Maybe the 2013 had better ratios than the 2016. I dunno.
