2018 Ram Laramie

Looking at buying a Ram 2500 diesel next week. It has a 6 1/2 ft bed.
I have a 8289ws Rockwood signature ultra light 5th wheel.
Does anyone have experience using a Reese gooseneck are if this setup will even work for me.
Thanks for any additional information regarding this setup

Just curious, is there a reason you're going with a 2500 and not a 3500? Diesel engines are payload hogs.
Every time you use an apostrophe to make a word plural, a puppy dies.

Really don’t need that for everyday driving. I really liked the 22-24 mpg cruising 70 75 mph. The 2500 is really just required for glamping.
The Ram 2500 diesel is all the power and tow capacity that I will need for the 8289ws. 8,000 lb dry. Thanks for your insight

No experience with Reese gooseneck pin box .... truck will pull it great ... I have similar 5th wheel and loaded weight will be 10,000-10,300 with a pin around 1600 ... payload on that truck around 2100 so you will be right at max payload ... I use the option to unlock the pin box and move pivot back 22 inches ... works great on mine ... so you are going to change the pin box?? I love my RAM ... best of luck
