2020 RAM 2500 Laramie Nice
Next door neighbor brought home his new 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie ... super nice it is a Gas with the 6.4 bed ... Has all the toys ... and I am happy to say the street is now no longer over weight ... even with all the toys he has a payload of 3311 ... he pulls a Highland Ridge lite his weights are close to mine which puts him well within his capacities

Sure ... he pulls mostly in Florida and was opposed to a diesel ... the truck will do well and is a good fit for his 5ver and he takes care of his vehicles ... biggest draw back will be mpg

Rams aren't like Harleys of the past where you needed a chase truck and you took a chance following one on another MC cause they leaked so much oil on the road.

My 2005 ram was so bad I traded it in on a ford and haven't looked back. A buddy has a new 1500 Laramie that's loaded to the gills and very nice. It looks like they've really upped their game.

2007 3500 6.7 diesel 145k miles. Have towed 5th wheel, now towing a pod, have towed dump trailer full of gravel, numerous other heavy loads. Only thing is it's a bit of overkill for the Rpod but if I replace it it will be another Dodge. Like the ability to travel thru the NW mountains without concern.

Lol. Was a 5 time Ram owner until late last year. My 2017 was a complete slug. Lots of electrical issues the dealer couldn’t find. I’m not normally a brand basher but for me I’m glad I’m in my Silverado. But ram is on top of the interior design game in my opinion.

They don't leak oil, they just mark their spot.

One downfall of Ram is they don’t have good electrical connectors. I learned very quick to put dielectric on any connector I had apart - solved a lot of gremlins on my ‘02.

An ‘02 is two generations of Ram design in the past, hardly an indication of a late model truck. All 3 brands have come so far in the last five years that comparing any aspect of anything older Really has no validity.

An ‘02 1500 is only one generation behind and at least up to model year ‘18 suffers from the same issues. Similar corrosion issues still as well.

I must be lucky then, I’ve never suffered an electrical issue with my ‘05 or my current ‘17, combined 265,000 miles. And yes the third gen trucks do have rust problems above the rear wheel openings. This has largely been eliminated with the 4th gen 2009 redesign, which includes wheel well liners as standard equipment.

I like my 2004 Ram 2500 diesel, with 6 speed manual "tranny", so much that I am still driving it. And I have yet to put back on the TT, the WDB.

I had a 2500 Laramie with a Hemi. The first time I pulled my toy hauler on a long trip it had plenty of power in the mountains but only got 6 mpg. The toy hauler weights around 7,000 lbs. Had to over ride the cruise control to maintain speed on upgrades. When I came back bought a 2017 2500 diesel. On the same trip the cruise held the speed and got about 10 mpg which should improve as I put more miles on the truck. Wish I had bought a diesel sooner.

I have a 2008, Dodge Ram Mega Cab 6.7L Cummins that has a 135K on the OD. If I was to purchase again it would be a Ram 6.7L Cummins truck and none other.
