I pulled our 2109s for over a year with the 2019 Ranger listed in signature. The Ranger is more than capable with the 750/7,500# tongue/gross towing ratings. I was getting 10-10.5mpg on Florida's interstates when kept at 60mph. Only down sides were the limited fuel tank (requires refueling every 125-150 miles), tolerable but noticeable side wind push when passed by semi's and box trucks, and not enough leg room for the DW who seems to be continually crossing her legs when we're on a trip.
Wanting a DW who enjoys camping, I opted to buy the F-150 in signature. She now has plenty of leg room and I have a Max tow pkg with 36 gal fuel tank. Down side is mpg dropped to 9 - 9.5mpg at 63 avg mph.
There is a lot of internet discussion about Ford's 3.5L twin turbo and VVT phasor issues. If buying used, it might be worth purchasing a Gold CPO certified vehicle from a Ford dealer.
