Air bags and Air hitch

Looking to trade in our tt and upgrade to a 377flik 5th wheel. Would it be overkill to have air bags along with an air assisted hitch? Or would air bags and a pullrite 2700 slider hitch be sufficient. Thanks!

I do not think so but you may want to consider an air bag pin box if you are going to need a slider hitch.

I am using the Loader Lifter 5000 air bags from Air Lift with the wireless remote compressor for air bag inflation. I also have the TrailAir ride pin box on my camper, factory installation. But this can be installed as an aftermarket installation on a camper as will. This has an air bag and shock absorber as part on the pin box assembly. This way I can use a slider hitch with my truck.

I have the Firestone Air bags on my 15 F250, just got back from pulling my Wildcat 295RSX from GA to TN. I also have the Reese slider with my hitch. The air bags helped some, but you still get a lot of the "chucking" when speeding up, slowing down, or hitting the many crazy rough bridges in GA. I am looking at installing either a TrailAir or other air ride system for the pin box.
