Anyone tow their TT using a Rock/Mud/Splash guard?

Interested if anyone here has experience with any of the wide mud flaps, rock deflectors, splash deflectors, similar to this:

This one is a brush type that is supposed to deflect spray downward. Others are more traditional mud flap style only they extend from one end of the tow vehicle's bumper to the other.

Getting ready to start my Fall/Winter travel and it's going to take me through numerous areas of rain and sloppy wet snow. To those who have used one in similar conditions, does it help keep your TT cleaner with less road dirt accumulation (especially the mud created by wet sand on the highway left over from the last snow storm)?

With the rock tamers they tend to throw rocks back at the bumper and tailgate chipping the paint. That’s why you see them tilted back quite often. I don’t find they keep a lot of mud off our TT, but prevents direct hits from rocks. Something under the bumper would stop rocks getting thrown back at the tow vehicle. I also have extra length duraflaps on the truck and they seem to help protect the TT without the rock tamers.
