B&W Hitch set up

I need some advise on setting heighth on my companion 3700 hitch
I have 2019 chevy 4x4 2500hd duramax truck with factory 5th wheel package.
I ordered a Rockwood 2888 ultra light 5er
My 5er is due in this week and a want to set up the hitch before i get to the dealership. I know it will need adjustment but want to take a shot at getting it right the first time. I have a few different height adjustments and thought maybe someone has been down this “road”
Thanks
Top of bed rail is 58 inches and hitch has 3 adjusments
16.75” to 18.75”
And 2” of front to back adjustments

I had the 07 Chev duramax silverado 2500 srw two wheel drive (sits lower than 4x4) pulling a 06 Montana. Used the lowest setting and still was a little un-level on the trailer until I installed LT truck tires. I also recommend Timbrens at least on the rear.

I was thinking maybe some one had the same truck and 5er. or at least a 4x4 that had same height.

I use the patriot on my 2018 f250 short bed i had it in the middle on height and forward back adjustment. Picked up trailer and was noise high. Switched it to middle forward and back and the lowest height adjustment. I clear the rail by about 3.5 or 4 inches. Start at middle middle and bring wrenches when u pick up your trailer if it's high adjust in parking lot

B&W Hitch

Jimer
I have a 2019 GMC Sierra 3500HD Crew SRW Dmax with hitch prep package and a 2017 Coachmen Chaparral 336TSIK the 5th wheel has a 1621hd pin box with a advertised pin weight of 10600lb. I had the camper on the scales loaded as I recall it is round 2300 pin weight. I have my B&W hitch at its lowest setting and back(furthest from cab). I have 6" clearance on rails but the truck came with overload springs. I maintain front height on my truck loaded ready to go camping no water. Hope this might help you. I just measured rail height at rear of truck 57.5"

Hi ok this happened to me as well. Bought the hitch and had installed. The guy set it up in the middle setting. Well around a week later went back to hitch dealer and said to them if possible I could hookup to a unit they had on their used lot similar to a unit I have been looking at. And since I bought the hitch and install from them they accommodated me. Well all said and done it was then perfect height setup for the unit a ended up buying from another local dealer. I’m glad I went this route as the new rv dealer would have charged me to setup a hitch that wasn’t purchased from them logical. Hope this helps. Thanks Jim M
