I never recommend being within 100 lbs of a WDH's max rating. I always add 100 lbs to the actual/estimated TW, then round up to the next kit size. For you, 1080 + 100 = 1180. 1200 lb WDH kit would be perfect. I would only consider the 1400lb kit if you think you may upgrade soon.
You would need to speak with Blue Ox customer service, regarding which kit (1000 or 1500) they would recommend for 1080 actual TW. Personally, I would not want either. 1000 lbs means the spring bars will act too much like springs, and probably lead to a bouncy "porpoising" ride. But the 1500 lbs bars may end up being too stiff for your liking.
