Braking concern

New to pulling TT and have a factory brake system on my 2014 Ram 1500. I also have two settings in the dash control panel for EOH Light duty and EOH Heavy Duty braking. My concern is that when I have it set to EOH Heavy duty and my TT weighs 5200 empty and probably no more that 7000 loaded, wiith my gain on the brake set anywhere from 2-3 the trailer brakes grab at the least amount of pressure on the pedal. I even set it to 0.5 and they still grabbed. I realize that they should work together without feeling them grabbing and wondered if anyone else with a Ramm pickup had this issue. I'm thinking that maybe I need to set the truck back to EOH Light duty and reset the gain. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as that we're set to take off again next weekend for a camping trip.

What TT do you have? Most likely it doesn't have hydraulic brakes on it. EOH stands for Electric Over Hydraulic. Isn't their a setting for just electric brakes?

It is a 2014 Coachman Freedom Express 50th Anniversary Edition 248 RBS. I have been searching the internet to try and find out if it's electric or hydraulic brakes.
Clearly has electric brakes. I don't know of any travel trailer, in the last 30 years, that didn't have electric brakes.
All you have to do is go out and look underneath the trailer.

Many thanks

After reviewing the replys and searching a little more I agree with you that it has electric brakes only. I will set the brake system on the pickup back to just electric and try heavy electric first and set my gain from there. Much appreciated Thanks

Ram also doesn't provide full braking power at low speeds with the factory brake controller.
