For many reasons I feel better spending a little more by simply never setting foot in Wally World. They are responsible for the loss of many jobs and small business while paying employees peanuts.

So I guess my question is all Blue DEF created equal ? My New Ram 2500 with the Cummins is almost at the half way mark on it's first tank so I am going to be filling it soon. I would imagine the easiest thing to do is go to the truck stop and just pump it or am I missing anything ?

"Blue DEF" is a brand, I believe, marketing stuff. DEF is a urea solution, nothing high tech. Mercedes Benz, which is quite picky about fluids esp. oil, only requires it meets ISO 22241 which the ones I have seen all do. Also available on Amazon but not as cheap as a truck stop. I'll keep a gallon in the basement to avoid an emergency surprise in some remote corner of the world, which we hope to get to SOON!

Not quite - they make their Italian and French bread in- store and IMO it's quite good - especially at $1.00 per loaf.

I do the same. My Ford dealer tries to price match for me. Since it says Motorcraft, I'm good if any problems arise from the DEF system.

Oh I don't know. Walmart has their good points as well as their not so good points. Depends on your view point.
One of my sons is a Longshoremen Union member and makes a great living from it. He hates Walmart for understandable reasons.
One of our older couples we know that are retired on a limited income loves Walmart for their lower costs on food, medical prescriptions, etc. also for understandable reasons.
YMMV

So I guess Walmart and good stuff may not be an oxymoron after all - at least in some things.
Enough said.

My son drives for Walmart, Walmart pays there truck drivers well, I think he a earns a little over a $100,000.00 a year. Of course he camps out five nights a week, in the truck.

I have heard that Walmart treats their drivers very well. I guess Walmart figures if the merchandise doesn't get to the store on time, they can't sell it.
And they also have good tractors and trailers and keep them in great mechanical condition - have you ever seen a Walmart rig broken down? I don't think I ever have.

When I was in line on day they had a thing on the wall about their trucks being all new and made to be the lowest they can be for pollution and all. They get knocked but the reality is they employ many thousands and thousands of people.

Plus, dodge has a gauge.
It also freezes, so keeping one in the truck wouldn't work.

How can it freeze if it is stored in a tank underneath the truck? I have gone through 2 winters of below freezing temperatures without any issues.

It does freeze. at -11 c
The lines are purged after shutdown.
There's heaters in the tank.
Along with heated lines.
I've replaced more than a few on the super dutys.
My Mercedes, spent weeks in the shop with failed def heaters and lines.

We're pickup up our new Prism tomorrow but I've got quite a bit of experience with DEF in my Dodge pickup.
As others have said, there's near zero advantage to stocking up on it or keeping it on hand.
You can find it virtually everywhere and holding on to it (even if stored properly) has about zero upside.
I think the key is 1) get as fresh as you can (high turnover location) and 2) in the Sprinter wait for the low DEF light to come on first before topping off.
There seems to be a potential bug in the ECU software that tricks the system into thinking that DEF isn't being consumed if you continually top off.
So with 1000 miles to go when the warning light comes on and DEF available everywhere, I see no advantage to topping off early. At least until MB comes us with a fix or better info on the dreaded 'DEF lo' light but with a full tank.

If i remember correctly, i think mine gives me a 1500km warning.
When it comes on, i find time in the next few weeks to stop by the dealer and grab a jug.
