Seems very reasonable. The inability of that 12v source being able to provide many amps also caused problems trying to run a 3 way fridge on 12V while traveling because you wanted the gas off or had pilots blow out. The fridge would run down the camper battery faster than the 12v pin could resupply it. Dead battery at the end of the day and a warm fridge.
