Cargo Capacity Discrepancy

I've just purchased (but not picked up) a Vibe Extreme Lite 268RKS. I've based all my weight calculations on the specs posted on the web site.

Dry: 6398
Cargo Cap: 1867
Hitch: 742

Doing the inspection yesterday, I looked at the yellow sticker and, much to my surprise, the cargo capacity was *much* more than spec'd.

Dry: 6359
Cargo Cap: 3124

Obviously, somebody has the wrong number. I'm inclined to believe the yellow sticker more than the web site (which I've just noticed lists that 1867 capacity for *all* of the models except the smallest - seems fishy).

So does the 3124 capacity "seem" reasonable? I know the weight of all the stuff adds up quickly (and includes propane, battery, etc.) but it seems like I wouldn't really be able to put that much in there.

How much extra weight are you adding over top of your dry weight?

Thanks

Average user added weight across the board is a 1000lbs.

cargo capacity being half the weight of the trailer seems to be way more than the norm. You will never even break the 1867lb mark.

The frame of course has something to do with it, but do you know what your axles are rated at?

I believe that model is actually one of the dozen or so FR had wrong in the literature - it happens. A couple in our camping group purchased one off the lot a few weeks ago and we're having breakfast together with the group as I type this. Proud new owners have pictures of everything, including the yellow sticker and theirs is 6631 dry with a CCC of 2852 and he said he scaled it putting on his WDH and considering propane and twin batteries the dry weight was accurate.

No I don't. Any idea how to find that out?

You can look at the plate on the trailer for its gvwr and subtract the yellow sticker weight to figure out the cargo capacity.
