Change in Wear Patterns on E2 Hitch Sway Control Bars

As I was hitching up today, I noticed a change in the wear patterns where the sway control bars hit the hold down brackets. See photos. The wear used to be relatively even on the lower brackets, but now it is definitely biased toward the front (see the newly shiny areas indicated by the red arrow). Nothing has changed in my setup, at least I don't think so, but what does that change in wear pattern suggest?

I'd appreciate any ideas, thanks.

In my E2 Hitch I found the bolt that holds the head tight against the washers was loosening, causing the hitch to lose a lot of weight distribution. Happened several times, so the last time I put a little Locktite (non-permanent stuff) on the threads before tightening. Hasn't loosened since.

The trailer L-brackets occasionally catch and get pulled forward (or pushed back) so that they are no longer vertical to the trailer A-frame. If the L-brackets aren't square and/or the bars aren't parallel to the trailer frame when hitched up, you will get wear on the front edge of the L-bracket. Haven't found a good way to stop that other than moving the brackets back into correct position with a hammer, and keeping the mount bolts tight.
