Changing brake controller

Current rig is equipped with wireless Prodigy RF electronic brake controller. Getting new Toyota Tundra with on-board brake controller built into the Tundra. Question: Must the Power Module for the wireless brakes that is mounted to the trailer frame be removed from the circuit or do I leave it in place and just plug into my 7-way connector as usual?

If there is no signal going to the the wireless control it may not cause a problem. Myself I think I would simply remove it. One less area in the wiring to have a problem.
