Check engine light issue

We have a 2011 Dodge RAM 4x4, diesel 6.7, short bed. We have a continuing issue with a check engine light - P2609, Intake Air Heater System. We have had this checked out several times and the mechanics have not found any problem after running the diagnostics etc. They reset the condition and within one to two weeks, it comes back on. Has anyone else ever had this condition and found out how to resolve it? All updates to the system etc have been performed, all maintenance is completed.

Go to the Cummings diesel forum and post your question. There are some really knowledgeable people on that forum.

The only problem I've had with my 2011 engine code wise was O2 sensor codes. Turned out there was a TSB on the O2 sensor wire harness. The connectors were apparently not completely weather tight and would throw a code in high moisture conditions.

So, it's possible, that if the O2 connectors were "not up to snuff" then maybe some of the other connectors may be starting to fail? If you know where the air intake heater components are, maybe checking, cleaning & adding a little dielectric grease may fix it.
